It's hard to believe the Jubilee has come and gone another year. As Bro. Ronnie said over the weekend, second to Youth Camp, Jubilee is the biggest event of the year here at Grace Baptist. A lot of time and money is put in to planning and putting on a meeting like this, but it is worth every minute and penny spent for the Lord. We are so unworthy of his never-ending benefits. He blesses us in spite of ourselves.
Our batteries are recharged and we are excited for what God has done. We had churches represented from six different states. Over the course of the weekend we heard 16 different messages, 8 of those messages were preached during the Saturday afternoon service when we had "Popcorn Preaching", giving each preacher 5 minutes a piece. Out of those 8 young men, we were excited to have two of our own Preacher Boys, Skyler Wilkes and Lance McCarty, to preach.
We heard dynamic messages from Bro. Jeff Griffith (Liberty, SC), Bro. Jared Pilkington (Pensacola, FL), Bro. Dusty Davis, Bro. Gene Gouge, Bro. Rick Davis (all from Hickory, NC), Bro. Kevin Mathis (Kings Mtn., NC), Bro. Tony Miller (Camp Creek, WV) and Bro. Cody Zorn (Lyons, GA). It's amazing how the Lord works, as it seemed the theme of most every message rang the same, STAND! In these last days, we are seeing the Devil and his crowd take over our country, and the time is nearing that we soon see his appearing. No matter what obstacles and difficulty that comes our way from the world or the Devil, we must stand and waiver not!! Our Redemption draweth nigh!!!
We were also blessed to have Bro. Steve Schlecty of Magnetic Scripture Signs with us all weekend. Many of us were able to purchase many magnetic signs to place on their vehicles to further spread the Seed of God's Word! It was such a blessing pulling into the church parking lot Sunday Evening and seeing Scripture Signs on everyone's cars!!! Now thousands more people will have the gospel planted in their hearts!! PRAISE GOD!!!!!
All in all, we had a wonderful weekend of preaching, singing and old-fashioned worship. The folks of Grace Baptist worked extremely hard this weekend and the weeks before planning this event, and God has truly honored that hard work. We are blessed to see so many people get Spiritually Recharged!!
